A Whole New Way To Look At Weather - Incorrectly

They tout this as "a whole new way of looking at weather", which I suppose it true. Sadly, that new way would have to be described as "incorrect."

The forecasts seems to be a bit... erm... well... useless, frankly. Wherever the app was pulling its data from can be way off the mark. Environment Canada correctly forecast Vancouvers weather this evening as being "a mix of sun and cloud." Swackett was telling me that we were going to have a spate of heavy thunderstorms. Far from needing to don a sow-wester and wellies, I was enjoying dinner on the front steps this evening.

An app like this, for all its clever and attractive design, is only as good as the place it gets its data from.
